lady curious about the best age spot remover reviews

How do we know what product to choose? We live in a society where choosing a product can mean hours spent researching, just to find the right product. But, with the limited amount of spare time most of us have, that would be extremely unrealistic.

Our goal here is to help you sift through the endless  product choices, and provide an age spot removal cream that fits your budget, lifestyle, and skin type. We have narrowed it down to 5 age spots removal creams. You can’t go wrong with any of the product choices. All 5 products have provided some amazing results to many satisfied customers. I think you will agree, these age spot removal creams are highly effective, and reasonably priced.

Things To Remember When Choosing A Quality Product

Let us save you some time. You can look all day if you want, but you will find the products that are top rated all carry the same or similar ingredients. Basically, there is nothing new under the sun. Hydroquinone is one of the main ingredients in a lot of the top products. If you were to go to your dermatologist to get a fade cream, they would provide a product that contains Hydroquinone 4%. When you buy a product over the counter it contains only 2% Hydroquinone. Licorice Bark, Retinol, Glycolic Acid, Kojic Acid, Azelaic Acid, and Vitamin C, are also popular ingredients in many of the top age spot removers.

When choosing a quality product, you want to make sure it has good customer reviews. Happy customers usually means the product works well. If the product worked for them, chances are, it is going to work for you too.

Lastly, make sure it has a money back guarantee. When a company stands behind their product, you know they are confidant you will be satisfied with your purchase.

90/100 Pros – Murad Rapid Lightening Regimen 30-Day Kit made our list due to the effectiveness of the product. We also liked that it is a three product offer. It includes a cleanser, the Rapid Age Spot Lightening Serum and a daily moisturizer. We all know Murad makes fabulous skin care products. Murad contains 2% Hydroquinone as the main active ingredient. Hydroquinone is a main ingredient in several of the best age spot removers. It also contains Vitamin C, a known ingredient beneficial to the skin. You also get 2 free gifts with this kit.

Con – It contains Hydroquinone that has been linked to cancer in rats in very high doses. However; Dermatologists prescribe Hydroquinone 4%,  which has double the dose of over-the-counter products. 1. My doctor tells me my age spots are wisdom marks. That does not make me like having them. I am really glad to see this review. I have tried a few of the many, many products out there, with no success. This really helps!

    • I am happy that you found the review helpful. Your doctor is right, they are wisdom spots. It can get overwhelming at times trying to find the right product, we spend so much time researching. I think all 5 of these products are top notch.

  2. I’ve been looking for something to hide the ever increasing dark spots popping on my face and forehead. Do you know if these products are scented or unscented?

    • Craig,

Meladerm would be the best option. It does not have a scent. I see where you are coming from, there are some products with a strong scent, but Meladerm is a great choice.

  3. Hi Lisa,

I can clearly see that each of these products you’re recommending for use on our skin looks very great and I can see that from your conviction. Especially since mentioned that they have great customer satisfaction -and that almost to 80% of the users were happy with the results.

I can see that they will really be useful. But my BIG question is, since aging is not only a problem that women face, do you think that we men can also use any of the products you recommended?

Please let me hear your reply

    • Stephen,

That is a great question. Yes, men can definitely benefit from the products. Any product with over 80% satisfaction rate is certainly worth a try.

  4. With the Babyboomers such a high rate today, this is a must-see website for all. I am also in that bracket. May I have tried but never had received such details about the products the way you have described in this article.

Natural is always the way to go. The world seems to have an organic state of mind, and the way I see it your products will well fit into this trend. Your #2 Meladerm For Hyperpigmentation, would be my choice because of the natural extract Licorice. This root has the benefits to support healthy digestion, increase antioxidants and support adrenal glands. This is an ace product for all, and I thank you for including it on your website. A definite buy for me. Thanks!

    • I’m pleased you found the post helpful. You are right, in our health conscious society, natural products are certainly growing in popularity. Licorice Extract is great at removing spots. Thanks for the nice comment.

  5. My mother is always complaining about age spots, I will have her try Admire my skin. I have a few family members with pigment disorders and psoriasis, do you think it could help with thoses also?

    • Hi Jim, It would definitely work on pigment disorders, such as hyperpigmentation. but I wouldn’t use it on psoriasis. Admire My Skin is one of my favorite choices, a really great product, your mom can’t go wrong with that choice. I’m sure she will see some pretty amazing results.

  6. Hi Lisa,
Nice product review. My wife and I start to have some age spots on our faces. Most are dark spots. It looks that Meladerm For Hyperpigmentation is the best choice for us. We like it since it contains only natural ingredients and may have minimum side-effects. Thanks for sharing.

  7. So it seems one of the most common “issues” with a lot of the products you mentioned is the use of cancer-causing ingredients. Although they all seem to have a low dosage of that ingredient, I’d be curious to know how long you could use these products before you started to see and adverse effects.

Great review for age spot removers, Lisa. I’m sure many will benefit from reading.

    • Veronica, That is a great question. Most dermatologists deem the 2% hydroquinone as a safe dosage for a six months. When getting a prescription strength product from a dermatologist, it would be 4% strength. If a person wants to avoid Hydroquinone, I would definitely go with an all natural product like Meladerm. Lisa

  8. My dad had a number of age spots and now as I am getting older, I am seeing a few start to appear, which really doesn’t thrill me. I would be tempted to try something, but had had reactions to other skincare products in the past due to having rather sensitive skin.

What do you think would be the safest bet?

  9. Hello Tania, this is quite a list of available products. Do you know of ones that are completely organic and chemical free?
I am in a juggling act as to whether or not I can wear these spots as badges of life well lived, or if they need to go away.
    In peace and gratitude, ariel

    • Ariel, A great choice would be Whitening Labs Dark Spot Corrector Cream. Although, I’m not sure if it is 100 % chemical free. It is all natural and free of parabens, additives fillers and alcohol. Also, it is not tested on animals. Lisa

  10. Dear Lisa,

Its a very useful Article about Dark Spot. Many people facing this kind of problems. Organic and Chemical free creams are so rare. There is no side effects in Natural creams and we don’t need to afraid for applying it in our face. Thanks for the sharing good detailed information.

    Your Friend,

  11. Thanks for the review of these products, Lisa. I know about the first two, but not the others. Thankfully, I do not need to worry about this as yet. But if it happens, I have a place to start.

  12. Hi Lisa, There is so much great information in this article. It’s really difficult to choose. I don’t have as many dark spots/age spots on my face as I do on my hands. They just look like freckles but where I never had freckles before. I really like the sound of Meladerm because of the use of natural extracts. I’ve found that products with plant-based bi-products and extracts are much better overall.

    Thank you for this post.

    • Hi Sue, I think a lot of people tend to lean towards all natural products. I think Meladerm is a great choice and very effective. It has an extremely high satisfaction rating. Lisa

  13. Thank you Lisa for this review. I am someone who believes one should look good at all times and at any age, so having a cream that covers one’s imperfection is what one must try. I will try Meladerm based on your blog, and also let you know what I personally think of it. Nature has provided all what is needed, so why hold back. Keep up the good work.

  14. Hi Lisa,
Thank you for writing this article. It really helped me a lot.
Hydroquinone sounds like a great active ingredient to have. IT is nice that it is available over the counter in the 2% strength version.
Meladerm sounds better for me because it is plant based and not synthetic. What do you think? Do you prefer your active ingredients to be plant based or synthetic?

    • Hi Glenys, I would stay with Meladerm since it has all natural ingredients. Although, products containing hydroquinone are very effective at lightening age spots. Lisa
